Announcing the 2012 AOBA National Cup!

WHAT IS THE NATIONAL CUP?

The inaugural 2012 AOBA National Cup awards are designed to recognize those farms/ranches whose alpacas are exhibited at the 2012 AOBA National Halter and Fleece Show and perform in an exemplary fashion in their full fleece and composite halter classes. Points are accrued for each farm/ranch depending upon their entries’ placements in each halter class.

The farms/ranches that accrue the highest point totals in each of three divisions as described below will be the recipients of the 2012 AOBA National Halter Cup awards. Winners will be announced after the show has ended and results have been tabulated. There will be separate awards for Suri and Huacaya in Halter and Fleece.

AOBA National Halter Cup(s) Division:

Points will be given for placement in each full fleece and/or composite class. Points will be accrued as follows:

** “Alpacas entered” are based on ARI certificates. E.g., an alpaca entered in either regular full fleece or composite halter class is one entry. A sire or dam entered in the Get of Sire or Produce of Dam is one entry each. Entry into the Breeder’s Best Three halter class is made in the name of the farm/ranch and counts as one entry. An alpaca that is also entered in the Bred and Owned class in addition to its regular full fleece class does not count as an additional entry; however any points accrued by placement in this class will be added to the points accrued for a farm/ranch.
